Learning how to eat healthy foods wasn’t just a hobby for me. It was a lifeline. It helped rescue me from serious medical conditions and improved my quality of life one-hundredfold.I was a very sickly kid. I was one of those kids that always had a rash or a sore throat or a cold or a flu.
As I got older, my eating habits became that of a typical teenager. The older I got, the more junk I ate. By the time I was 21, I was really unhealthy. My weight was up, I was bloated, constipated and always felt bad. By the age of 26, I was really in trouble. I was having a hard time functioning at work because I would get so tired. I was moody and depressed, uncomfortable and anti-social because I didn’t feel well enough to go out.
Lots of health practitioners and dead-ends later, I came to find out I was eating foods that I was allergic or sensitive to and it was badly effecting my whole system as well as my outlook on life. Finally, with some direction and focus I was able to tackle my health issues that were holding me back.
At the time I was a Personal Trainer and it became apparent to me that exercise was not always enough to lose weight. I delved deep into the nutritional component of health and realized it was the missing piece, for myself as well as my clients. I shared what I was learning about healthy eating with my clients, and miraculous changes in their weight and health began to occur.
Over the next two decades, I became a Certified Nutrition Counselor, Certified Reiki Master, Certified Bau-Biologist, Certified Feng Shui practitioner, and Certified Yoga Instructor. I took all these modalities and put them under one umbrella, and began my practice as a Holistic Health Coach.
At age 41, feeling healthy and fit, I had my first and only child and moved to Tennessee, expanding my Health Coaching practice to include corporate wellness consulting as well as phone and Skype sessions and I now coach people worldwide. Corporate clients include Rabobank NY, L'Oreal, John Wiley & Sons, Caris Health and Newell Rubbermaid.
